Average depth is about 3 to 5 feet, but of course, as a River, the depth varies greatly from ankle deep to over ten feet and changes with rainfall. Text Box: The Illinois River is a beautiful scenic river flowing near Tahlequah, Oklahoma. Floating is easy. Eagle Bluff takes you up River, provides your float equipment, and you float down to the beach just below our parking lot.
